Under the guidance of Imam Sharief Yusuf, we will explore “Mercy, the Stamp of Creation” a teaching rooted in the work of Dr. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah that reveals how mercy is the defining quality and purpose of creation itself.
This two-part program invites us to reflect, gather, and build together around the theme of Rahma (Mercy) the foundation of faith, community, and human connection.
Wasat was conceived in 2012 by three American converts to Islam who wanted to create space for Seattle-area community members to connect, grow, and learn together. Many dreams and cups of coffee later, it is has grown into a vibrant community beloved by many and a resource for those exploring Islam.
Established in 2025, Bustan is an initiative dedicated to cultivating spaces of sacred belonging, learning, and creativity for Muslims in the Portland metro area.
